Goodnik is partnering with Bubbleproof for their holiday happy hour. This is a unique even to build a community of social entrepreneurs and professionals can help them get their projects off the ground. As part of the event, we will be working to integrate this community with our new project, http://www.goodnikels.com - every attendee will receive 10 goodnikels (worth an hour of professional services). Come to the event, enjoy some drinks and find your passion! Read the details below and then RSVP at Bubbleproof.
Here's the descriptopn from Bubbleproof: Bubbleproof is doing something a little different for the holidays! Join us for the Give and Take Happy hour, where people who want to get involved can find awesome social good + for profit startups and side-projects that need their help.
We're asking everyone to write one thing they need (copywriting help, professional headshots, etc) and to write one thing they can give (web development help, design work, etc) on this Google Doc. Check out the doc beforehand, and then meet people at the event that can help you get your ideas off the ground.
We'll be hosting the happy hour at the lovely Lu Magnus art gallery and, as always, there will be plenty of wine and snacks.
For more information, check out the doc or see below for "the rules".
If you take something, give something — Don't get hung up thinking you don't have anything to offer, because everyone can do something. Whether it's user testing, an introduction to someone else helpful, or just spreading the word on social media, your help is really valuable to other entrepreneurs.
Do what you say you're going to do — Think about what you want to offer and if you have time + ability to deliver. Also, be specific about what exactly you're offering. For example, "I can do 5 hours of free web-development work" is better than "I can help with web development."
No money — Even though we're a social good for profit meetup group, this happy hour is about creating connections and sharing experiences. If a partnership forms out of this happy hour, that's great, but please do not offer or ask for anything that involves money.
Expect the unexpected — This is all completely random, and there's a good chance it won't work out. There, we said it. BUT, there's also a good chance that you meet someone or find a project that excites and inspires you. Be ready for either and be a force for good.
Spectators are also welcome! If you'd like to just meet people, admire art and drink wine, please join us for an inspiring night.
