Thanks to everyone for joining me on this great walk, and special thanks to all the folks joining in for the first time - hope you enjoyed it and look forward to seeing you again at another walk. Luckily we escaped both the heat and the rain, and the beers at the pub afterward were well deserved! Thanks again!!

Hong & Lizz hello, just confirming that our meeting point for tomorrow is at Granville train station. Please look for my car (white Nissan XTrail, rego AQ 66 SF) at Railway Pde cnr. South Street. The nearest landmark is El Jannah Restaurant which is between the corner of both streets.

We will now meet at 8.30am as it will take approx an hour's drive from Granville to Newport. This will allow us a bit of extra time in case we hit heavy traffic.

Please arrive at the meeting point preferably just before 8.30am. We will leave exactly on time. See you tomorrow.

Are there any free parking spots near the surf livesaving club area??

Hello, Are you walking via Barrenjoey Rd?

    January 8, 2013

    • sean

Hi Christina. No, we aren't walking on Barrenjoey Road - there's a series of beautiful tracks along the ocean beaches and bluffs which is a much nicer (and safer) way to go.

Hi everyone, I RSVPd Yes and look forward to walking with you all on Sunday. I hope the temperature doesn't go above 30 deg. I may have to rethink on the day if the temp gets too hot.

Albert I am actually getting a lift from Rona at Gordon, if you follow the thread of the conversation below and I don't think she has any places left, sorry.

  • sean

Hey guys. If you're coming on public transport, please check www.131500.com.au to see all your transport options. Also, just FYI, the L90 bus back from Pam Beach to Newport goes every 20 minutes.

  • mish

Sorry I thought this was for kids too so I rsvp'd for myself and my little one. I will need to un-invite us. My apologies.

    January 7, 2013

    • sean

No problem Michelle. Kids are welcome, although this is a 10km hike, so I would ask you to judge whether that's suitable for them. There's ample opportunity to bail along the way and get a bus back if it gets too tough, so you're not committed to traversing the whole track if you don't want to.

      January 7, 2013

    • mish

Ha! Maybe I would need to check if I can manage the 10kms myself! I was planning on strapping my little one to my front and doing the hiking considering she can't walk yet. Will need to consider the temperature on the day. Thanks Sean.

Hi Claudia, I love kayaking and plan on doing a bit this summer. Unfortunately though, I won't make kayaking part of a meetup as it's just a little bit dangerous.
