Walk in the Park

Meet us at the hidden gem that is Craig Park.

It's located near Brea Mall at State College and Imperial Hwy ... but you will be surprised once you enter this little getaway.

Walk through shady trees. Catch a glimpse of the hawks that nest in the park, as well as other wildlife.

The path we will take is good for beginners, with mainly gentle slopes with a few short rises on a paved path.

We will take the outer loop path that goes over the dam, which is about 2.9 miles, and should take us just under an hour at a moderate pace.

There are restrooms and drinking fountains along the way. Leashed dogs are welcome.

Plenty of free parking is available on State College, right near the entrance. If you park inside the park, it is $3.00.

We will meet right inside the entrance (see photo below).  Enter at the big Craig Park sign, walk a short distance along the paved road, and we will be on the left at the location below.

We will start walking at 6:10pm, so please allow time to park and take the short walk to the meeting place.

We will start up the path on the left of the sign if you need to catch up.

I was hoping to get to go to this walk and meet members but it didn't work out tonight. Got behind on our routine for my kids' bedtime and couldn't make it. Hope to get there next week.

Hi regulars! I will most likely have to miss this one as I am picking someone up from the airport, but please give our newbies a warm welcome, and I'll see you next week. :)
