Important note!!!! *** The Irvine Improv has eliminated their free guest list policy and wants everyone who attends ANY show at the New Irvine Improv to pay a cover charge. I was able to talk them down to $5.00 if I provide a list of names of people in advance. So technically it's still a guest list, just not completely free anymore. ***
If you RSVP at the last minute you can still get in for $5.00, just please call or text me at [masked] before 8:00 PM the night of the event.
Box office opens at 6:00, doors at 7:30 and the show starts at 8:00.
The cover charge is $5.00 at the door and there is a two item minimum.
This is the brand new Irvine Improv, still in the Spectrum, but now across from the theaters, where the old food court used to be. Expanded to over 500 seats, bigger stage, state of the art sound system and brand new restaurant, this venue reaffirms its position as the premier comedy club in Southern California.
Tuesday August 5th Tony Calabrese will be headlining. I was very fortunate to be able to get him, and only because his schedule suddenly opened up. Also appearing will be Taylor Tomlinson and Maria Herman.
Tony Calabrese’s comedy is best described as frustrated middle aged married fat guy meets lazy ninja. His exuberant body language and facial expressions combined with his over the top takes on life’s events make him an audience favorite everywhere.
A native San Diegan, Tony Calabrese has been performing comedy since 1995, specializing in corporate events and as a master of ceremonies and auctioneer for charity benefits.
At 55, he has been married for 34 years, in a row, and has two grown sons and three grandchildren. He talks about life, world events, marriage, kids, grandkids, the corporate world, and the trials and tribulations of not staying in top physical condition.
Tony has spent 35 years as a banker in San Diego and is the former President and CEO of not one but two banks. That’s right Bank President turned Comedian. His unique view of the business world makes him the perfect entertainer for corporate events.
Taylor started her comedy career in her teens and became a sensation almost overnight. Now as she rapidly approaches the dear old age of 20, she has gone from sensation to phenonemnon. Squeaky clean, insanely funny, Taylor never fails to deliver. She currently headlines now all over California.
