Show me something, you've got ten minutes!

This is the meetup where you get the chance to show something cool or interesting: Demonstrate a useful gem, show a nice design pattern, host a discussion, or live code a C64 emulator. But what ever you do you only get 10 minutes (we will have a timer)!

This is the perfect opportunity if you feel that you want to contribute, but you think it is a little daunting to do so in front of people. Anyone can do 5-10 minutes, and we are aiming for a friendly setting do to so.

Write in the comments if you are planning to show something.

PugglePay will provide venue, pizza and beverages.

I am thinking of showing the prawn gem (https://github.com/prawnpdf/prawn) and how we use it at PugglePay to generate pdf invoices.

    Hi guys!
Sad to have to leave early as I wanted to chat with all of you there!
Some shameless self-promotion will thus have to be done here instead.
If you like big data, graph databases, real time analytics, algorithms and machine learning, feel free to contact me as my startup just got funding and we are now hiring.

    Best,
    //Anders Fredriksson

If there are still speakers needed, I have a short walkthrough presentation of a few RSpec setup tips & tricks that I could present.

It depends I guess. I you want to show something interesting tonight that are related to your company, it is alright. That is what I will do. If you want your company as a sponsor of Got.rb, then you have to talk to CJ at Elabs.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow. So far we have five presentations, but we still have room for a few more, so don't hesitate to present something.

After each presentation there will be room for a few questions while the next speaker prepares and connects to the projector.

The projector has a vga interface, but I will also bring my displayport/thunderbolt to vga adapter. There is also a white board available.

It's a week left to the meeting and it is time to start thinking about what you would like to show. We will limit the number of presentations to ten (or something) so in order to get a spot, write a comment and let us know what you want to show.

Also, if you would like to SEE a presentation about something special, please write a comment about that as well. Perhaps someone will pick up on that.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
