Early sunday casual sail 5/4 - South Beach Marina (SF)

Forecast is for great sailing weather on Sunday with strong winds typical of the Summer sailing season.  How about an early casual sail on the bay?  Mutual Fun is a safe Olson 30, former competitive racer.  Best of all, it is berthed at South Beach harbor, dock G, in San Francisco right next to AT&T park, easily accessible by public transit (MUNI Rail N-KT & Caltrain)**.

We will make it back by 3:30pm so this will be a morning to early afternoon sail, not an all-day sail.

Looking for a couple of experienced crew on this one.

I will keep control of the waitlist to make sure we have a crew with different experience levels.  There are spots for 5-6 people max. Since I need to know details about each crew-member I'm not accepting "+1" signups. If you have a guest please have them fill up a profile on this group and send me a message to let me know that both of you want to attend the event together.

Please bring a snack to share (hummus is always a good idea), a beverage of your choice (alcoholic or not), non-marking shoes, a PFD if you have one, and waterproof clothing just in case.

A voluntary donation of $25 is suggested to help share expenses. Any donations will be made via a "donation" jar on the boat.  I will not know who made a particular donation so donations do not, in any way, constitute a condition of carriage since I will not know if any donations were made or not until after the trip is concluded.

(Meet at Gate 4, entrance to G-dock - southernmost end of the marina, closest to AT&T park).

**BART is also an option, take BART to Embarcadero station and transfer to the MUNI platform within the station to take the N or KT line towards AT&T park.

Is it 20ft or 30ft. I see Manuel is described as skipper of 20footer. I'm 6'5" and have a rule that I don't sail on anything under 30ft. So if its 30ft I'm in and excited. But if it's 20ft I'm gonna pass. Looking fwd to hearing from someone soon. Thx. Max.

Hi Max, sorry for the lack of of response, just saw this. It is a 30 footer, the description in my profile is incorrect. Let me know if you still can make it.

Manuel - I'm sorry something came up & I'd have to be back early so Sunday won't work. I hope you all have a great day out & we'll actually be able to sail together soon!!

Well, sounds like we will be late to that party. Plenty of places to have a margarita or two in South Beach.

I think the streets open to traffic at 4 but there may still be stuff going on.
