On Saturday afternoon we are going to sail from South Beach Harbor over to Sausalto and watch the lighted boat parade. We might even join in the parade.

The weather is supposed to be nice and the sail home should be awesome.
Bring warm clothes and dress in layers. Hat and gloves recomended. Bring a PFD if you have one (I have some extras), and wear non-marking soled shoes.

We will meet at three and after our orientation talk, we set sail for Richardson Bay. Fortunately, it gets dark early, so the parade should start around five.

We will experience many different wind and sea conditions and try all the points of sail. You may participate in the sailing of the boat as much, or as little, as you desire.
I have ginger ale and bottled water on board. Please bring a snack to share and whatever beverage you prefer.

Our theme will be "A Sock Monkey Christmas" - so bring your "Sock Monkey" hat.

Willin' is a big, modern, safe, well-equipped, well-maintained yacht with full electronics and instrumentation. We will not be pushing her to her limits and we will enjoy a safe, comfortable sail. I will control the RSVP and waiting lists to ensure that we have a good mix of newbies and experienced sailors.

There will be a one-hour orientation to get you familiar with the boat and safety procedures prior to our departure.
We have had some incredible outings in the past, so please check out some of the previous "Newbie" Meet ups:

Your forty-dollar donation will help defer costs. If you have a question about this or anything else give me a call, or email me, to discuss.
OK, let's go sailing and have some fun.
Next weekend we will be sailing in the Lighted Boat Parade with the South Beach Yacht Club. This one should be a blast. Along the Embarcadero and Cityfront.

I want to thank my crew for being such good sports and I want you all to know that the decision proved to be the correct one - the fuel pump failed completely in the morning.

Good call Mark
I wouldn't want to be in the middle of the bay with no wind, no engine and a container ship bearing down on the "Willin".

Nice group of people. The sunset and the boat parade were awesome. Thanks for another great sail Mark. Even the ferry ride back was fun.
