I am recently retired and hoping for a partner to SAIL, hike, bike, kayak, travel, dance and enjoy life. I am generally a gregarious, upbeat people-person, with a passion and curiosity for life.
I have sailed the bay for 10+ years, off shore in NorCal and SoCal, and some eastern Coast lakes and bays. I love to take my sailboat out often on our beautiful bay and dream of cruising to beautiful destinations. "Moongirl"
I love small boats but in the bay I sail keel boats. I have had many opportunities to sail on others boats but I do love my own. I have raced some but prefer to go wherever the wind blows, sailing my very best. I would love to go cruising open ended and have thoughts on particular boats but that will give us something to talk about.
MoonPearl is and Islander 36 berthed at Brickyard Cove Marina. She is a happy sailing, well maintained sloop with a furling headsail.

Hi Cindy, I received a notice from the 'Go Sailing' group about a charter on saturday and saw your post. Does your offer to go sailing still stand? You seem knowledgable and fun, and I would like to meet you. I am happy to offer lunch for the day for everyone. Please let me know if you have room, otherwise I will try to join the charter. Thank you!
Hi Cindy... Welcome to gotwaw.... Since you're a boat owner, it would be great if you could become an event host/organize so you can post sails on Moon Pearl! I live in the North East Bay... And would love to see more sails from Richmond!
Hi Cindy, welcome to the group! Pt. Richmond is a great place for a boat, and the Islander 36 is good one for the Bay. I raced 2 seasons on Luna Sea, an Islander 36, and they can really take the summer relentless brutal winds. :) Richmond Yacht Club is also my favorite yacht club in the Bay, so you're in a great place.
