Introduction

Experienced sailor on SF Bay and elsewhere looking for sailing opportunities and to meet other sailors. More of a cruiser than a racer. Like ocean sailing and passage making. Charter yachts on SF Bay and Monterey Bay.

How would you describe your sailing experience? At the end of your description include a title for yourself (look at other profiles, or the about page for ideas)

Charter and skipper yachts on SF Bay and Monterey Bay for day & weekend. Crewed on multiple Caribbean, coastal and ocean passages. Am a cruiser and enjoy "beer can" racing - would like to try more racing though not on a fanatical, hard-core boat!

What type boats have you sailed on - or dream of sailing on? What sort of sailing do you do? Cruising, racing, beercans, YRA . . . Transpac??

All sizes from Cal 24 thru custom steel 57' cutter. Hallberg-Rassy 46 best cruising yacht though Swan 52 most fun to sail. Trans-atlantic was longest passage (21 days). Vancouver Island to Oakland was roughest passage!

If you are a private boat owner -- please describe your vessel in as much detail as you can.

Charter yachts and crew on other people's boats.

Do you have any US sailing or ASA certificates? Do you bareboat charter?

ASA Basic Keelboat, Basic Coastal Cruising, Bareboat Chartering, Coastal Navigation, Advanced Coastal Cruising.

Are you disabled or have limited mobility? You'll be welcomed, but it's very important for skippers to know ahead of time to keep everyone safe while sailing (you included).

No.

  • Jeremy - as always, it was a pleasure chatting with you at game night. Safe travels next week.

  • Hi Jeremy,

A thought about the 17th: If you want to try a couple of boats, one of which is a Zephyr 160, you might rent another one. We could then switch at some point, and you could try my Zephyr out.

    Best,

    John
