Yes. It should have enough space for five cars at 9:15. Please arrive on time as we will leave by 9:30 am to avoid the traffic.

Carpool section updated. Please check the description. I also changed the meeting location to Cupertino Village, and the meeting time will be 9:15 am. This is to help us arrive at the park at the same time and not get lost. The traffic will be heavy near the park entrance.

Good. I prefer coming back by evening. I'm in cupertino, near De Anza and need a ride. Is it possible that anyone can pick me up :) I will share fees with you.

Considering the road condition, I have updated the starting time to 10:30am so that we can be home before sunset (8:00 pm).

Songling and Qing: we can't camp on Saturday. All campsites and tents have been booked. We may try camp next time ... need to make reservation in advance.

Yeah. I'm asking if it is part of the trip. I don't have anything for it yet...

New to the group too. Glad to find it. Are we gonna stay there tomorrow?

Usually the passengers are easier to get car sickness :) QingGang: I see you answered 'yes' to provide carpool? Is that what you want? If so, please also give the number of passengers you can take.

Qinggang, good to know that the road condition is not that bad. My friend scared me off by saying that he almost threw up in the back seat (maybe it's becaues he was a kid then... ).
Dan, thanks for the reminder. I got the mosquitoes repellent from big 5. Everyone is welcome to use mine.

My friend just told me that the road leading to big basin is really narrow and windy. Drivers please drive carefully. People who might have car sickness should be prepared; for me, motion sickness relief wrist bands (available in most drug stores) work well.

ft, can't display chinese. I'm saying there's lots of mosquitos, better bring some mosquito repellent. Poor cell phone reception near the gate, you may have to park >1 mile away from the gate at that time of the day. Suggest carpool at cupertino sears first, hard to contact each other by the gate.

Thank you QingGang! Hailong, I prefer to not use the 'rancho del oso' parking. It costs extra 20 miles from south bay and the space is not guaranteed, especially considering the long weekend. But thanks for your suggestion!

It's for safety and efficient communications. Can you you volunteer to be a co-host? I figured we need one host per 8 - 10 participants.

  • Roman C.

Anyone volunteer to provide carpool? I can take 3.

use google maple search 'rancho del oso visitor center' and check street view, looks like there are about ~50 parking spots

If park the vehicle at beach and take Skyline to the Sea trail to waterfall loop, there will be no entrance fee
