Half an hour drive south of san jose is this Rancho Cananda del Oro, one of the closest place to watch wildflowers around bay area.
The best bloom is on the Chisnantuk Peak Trail (included in Option 1 and 2), which is deep in the park and requires roughly 8 miles of moderate and occasionally strenuous hiking to see the whole thing. Expect to share trails with equestrians; don't come if you're afraid of horses. :)
Option 1: 13.7 miles, 6 hours,
Option 2: 10.3 miles, 4.5 hours
Option 3: 4.6 miles, 2.5 hours

You can look for carpool around your place or go to trailhead directly. If you want to come to carpool place, please add your name below. And please remember to pay your driver accordingly. (suggest $5 for 4 pp car if from south bay)
I will still encourage people to go to carpool one (Cupertino -- Sears) instead of many other places. Only if you live really far or you already arranged your carpool with someone you familiar and know their arrangement, otherwise, please join carpool one for easier arrangement. Please consider:
(1)which hike option your carpooler will take, and if you are willing to wait for him/her at the trailhead if you finish early.
(2) do you want to join dinner or not? will your carpooler with you for dinner?
(3) as the driver, you will need to send your carpooler back to where you pick him/her up. It will be dark and everyone will be tired after one day hike.
Passengers: it's your responsibility to contact your driver ahead of time, and also show up on time at the carpool place. If you change your plan, please let your driver know tonight!
By the way, everyone replied yes to this trip will be about to edit the poster and add his/her name under each option.
