NOT AN EVENT! - Sponsorship opportunity

Several people have asked how they can contribute to the costs of Meetup. (Setting up and maintaining a Meetup group is not free, it costs $19 per month (a bit less if you pay 3 or 6 months in advance).

To make it easy to handle contributions I will, every now and again create a "sponsorship event". This is not an event that will actually take place, but it is the easiest way to collect money using the Meetup system.

The contribution amount is $10, but as it is a per-person contribution, you can contribute multiples of that amount, by telling the system that you will "bring guests".
