Hello,
The topic this month will be Grails Plugins.
Part 0 - (10-15 Mins) Grid Computing for Real-Time Computational Finance: A Case Study with Groovy and Grails — Jonathan Felch
Jonathan is presenting at GR8 Conference, and wanted to run some of his thoughts by our group to get some feedback. Sounds like he's been pushing the use of Groovy, so it will be interesting to hear what he is up to.
Part 1 - Grails Plugins - Architecture Overview - Using and Building (Jean Barmash)
We will start with an overview of Grails Plugin architecture, what's a plugin and how to design one. If you ever were curious about how to create one, this is for you. The good news is that it's quite easy as Grails plugins are essentially a Grails application slightly modified.
Par 2 - Structuring Grails Applications with Plugins
Gregory W Bond, AT&T Labs Research
(This talk is a "backgrounder" for a talk that Greg will be giving
with Tom Smith at JavaOne on June 5 entitled "Web 2.0 Phone Home:
Rapid Development of Telecom-Enabled Web Applications.")
Grails plugins are traditionally used for adding third-party
functionality to an application e.g. adding mail functionality or UI
support. In this talk I will discuss another useful way to use
plugins: as a way to structure an application or an application suite.
