New Meetup: Groovy Testing Strategies

Peter B.

Announcing a new Meetup for The New York Groovy / Grails Meetup Group!

What: Groovy Testing Strategies

When: Thursday, January 13, 2011 6:30 PM

Where: EMC Offices
2 Penn Plaza 18th floor
New York, NY 10001

6.30pm-8pm

Our first session of 2011 will be an introduction to some of the testing frameworks available including Spock and Geb and a discussion on testing strategies and approaches being used by group members.

We'll kick off the meetup at 6.30 with a presentation on some of the most popular testing frameworks in the Groovy world and will then lead into a discussion on what different people are using for acceptance, integration and unit testing their apps.

Whether you're a test guru or just getting started with testing your apps, come along and join the discussion!

Bonus: Testing can be a really good way to introduce Groovy to an organization unwilling to use Groovy in production code. See how you can start using Groovy in your day job even if you work for a more conservative organization.
