Place / Topic Set: Inaugural Meeting - Grails 1.1 Features / Brainstorming

Jean B.
Group Organizer
New York, NY

We finalized the space / topic for this Wednesday (see below).

Looks like we'll have a full house, so if you don't think you can make it, please update your RSVP so others can come.

What: Inaugural Meeting - Grails 1.1 Features / Brainstorming

When: March 25, 2009 6:00 PM

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Meetup Description: This is our first meeting, so I think the most valuable part will be just meeting other New Yorkers who are into Groovy / Grails. In addition, since Grails 1.1 just came out a few weeks ago, I think it's a good time to go over the new features recently introduced.

6:00-6:15 - Introductions
6:15-6:45 - Grails 1.1 New Features Overview
6:45-8:00 - Mini-Hackathon - Guided Demo of Some Features *
8:00-8:15 - Brainstorming for Future Meetings

I also hope we find some time to share experience, which plugins we found useful, which ones we had trouble with, favorite debugging techniques, etc.

* Bring your laptop with Grails 1.1 Installed if you want to follow along, though you are welcome to just watch.

Looking forward to it.
