International Tabletop Day at Serenity Games

Let's Game all day baby! All kinds of exciting events going on to be posted soon. One I do know is Zombicide Game Night Kit #1  "Cars, Food, or Guns".  Check back here for updates! Besides all the events we will be having open table top gaming all day long!

Events:

Sloop Demo

GM: Will Baker

Start: 8:30 pm

End: 9 pm

Players: Will and 5 others.

CAPTURE, BUILD, AND STEAL to collect the most cards! Every round brings new cards and combinations. Sloop introduces surprising twists to the classic card game Casino, with Special Action Cards and Supercharged Cards. With more cards in the mix, there's even more exciting strategy to Sloop!

Sloop refers to the "fishing" card game mechanism and is modeled after the Casino card game. Players start with four cards and play until the deck is gone. The game revolves around playing a card from the hand to capture cards from the playing area that either match that number or add up to the number on the card played. It's also possible to "build" a large set of cards, then capture it. The low cards have special action abilities, and the deck includes two Wild cards. The player who captures the largest number of cards wins.

Hooyah! Demo

GM: Will Baker

Starts: 7 pm

Ends: 7:45 pm

Players: 4

Sponsor: US Games

You are a Navy SEAL. You are trained to confront terrorists and insurgents. You deal with hidden explosives, snipers and other unknown dangers. In the darkness of the ocean's depths or the vastness of the merciless desert, you expect the unexpected. You're on a mission. You work as a dedicated team, relying on the skills of expert marksmen and suburb tacticians. Careful planning and precise timing improve odds of success, but unforeseen events could jeopardize the mission.

Hooyah: Navy Seals Card Game is a cooperative game in which 1 to 4 players assume the roles of Navy SEALS trying to complete a real-life-inspired Special Ops mission. You either win or lose as a group. To meet the rigorous requirements of the mission, you must collect all of the Skills and Equipment cards required for each Op. All phases of the mission must be completed without the loss of life and before time runs out.

FREE Goodies when you participate in this demo!

Zombicide Game Night Kit #1 "Cars, Food, or Guns"  Campaign

GM: Will Baker

Sponsor: Grand Gamers of St. Petersburg

Entry fee: $5.00

Start: 1:00pm

End: 6:00pm ( 3 Ninety minute missions)

Players: Will and 5 others.  (Possibly more)

An argument started among survivors. What is the most important thing in survival? Doug and Phil favor guns, as they blow away any obstacle. Josh and Wanda prefer cars, as they drive you to safety and carry anything you might find. Amy and Ned speak about food because it’s a basic human need. Would you help us settling this?

Cars, food or guns? Each Mission brings its own answer to this question, and a nice reward too! Choose your priorities and play them all in the order of your choosing. In the end, you might have a definitive guess on the subject.

Everyone whom plays gets the following: 1 standard Kyoko- 1 Zombivor Kyoko- 1 Kyoko ID card- 1 experience tracker

Caverna: The Cave Farmers

Caverna: The Cave Farmers is a worker-placement game with heart! In the game, you are the bearded leader of a small dwarf family that lives in a little cave in the mountains. You begin the game with a farmer and his spouse, and each member of the farming family represents an action that the player can take each turn. Together, you cultivate the forest in front of your cave and dig deeper into the mountain. You furnish the caves as dwellings for your offspring as well as working spaces for small enterprises.

Caverna is #19 on BoardGameGeek.com’s rankings.

Lords of Waterdeep

Waterdeep, the City of Splendors – the most resplendent jewel in the Forgotten Realms, and a den of political intrigue and shady back-alley dealings. In this game, the players are powerful lords vying for control of this great city. Its treasures and resources are ripe for the taking, and that which cannot be gained through trickery and negotiation must be taken by force!

In Lords of Waterdeep, a strategy board game for 2-5 players, you take on the role of one of the masked Lords of Waterdeep, secret rulers of the city. Through your agents, you recruit adventurers to go on quests on your behalf, earning rewards and increasing your influence over the city. Expand the city by purchasing new buildings that open up new actions on the board, and hinder – or help – the other lords by playing Intrigue cards to enact your carefully laid plans.

During the course of play, you may gain points or resources through completing quests, constructing buildings, playing intrigue cards or having other players utilize the buildings you have constructed. At the end of 8 rounds of play, the player who has accrued the most points wins the game.

GM: Wes Ganote

Sponsor: Grand Gamers of St. Petersburg

Start: 7:30pm

Players: Wes +4

For everyone - because of such an early start I plan on bringing a crockpot of sweet and sour meatballs that people can nibble on. They should be done cooking around 5pm.

Peter - if you have room and don't mind a newbie I'd like to play Caverna. I've checked out the video and I don't think I'll be good at it but it looks a lot of fun to play.

Hey guys, when I got the invite from Serenity about this Saturday they had a start time of 4pm. I emailed them about starting earlier but haven't heard anything back. Should I have called? I've been trying to figure out how to look at their calender to see if the start time is still 4pm but I'm too old to be facebook literate evidently. Sorry.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
