Inspired and named after a Music legend who grew up on these very streets and whose masterpiece LP "What's Going On" turned out to be a great hit song of his times.
Marvin, a U Street bistro combines the cafe society of Belgium, with some classic recipes of American South.
Chef Jonathan Nickerson and the team here has created one of the most tasty and unique dining experiences in DC. Moules frites, steaks, and other Belgian specialties are offered along side BBQ ribs, chicken and waffles and seafood specials. The food can be paired with a good selection of Wine list.
Adding to the experience is a soundtrack of rare funk, soul, ska(a music genre with origins in Jamaica), and jazz.
After dinner, we will head up for a drink and some soul & rare groove music, on the roof top which is an outdoor beer garden, with an extensive selection of over 30 Belgian ales.
We have a very limited seating here, so Please manage your RSVPs responsibly so others can get to attend this event.
