As night descends and the glow of the evening sun begins to fade, the city of Buenos Aires acquires a special magical charm, created from its vibrant vibe of social gatherings centered around lively conversations, accompanied by wine, food and in the air the seductive musical notes of the tango, artfully played by its passionate musicians. Our first event from the new series "Wine around the World" will celebrate this special charm of Buenos Aires.
"Wine around the World" will be a periodic event that aims to bring together Wine, Food and a cultural aspect of a selected country, giving our members the ability to learn & enjoy, different cultures in a fun relaxed setting amid the things we already like - Wine & Food.
So join us for a special evening of Food, Wine and a Live musical Tango performance at Panas, a restaurant that specializes in Latin fusion gourmet empanadas which are crescent- shaped turnovers, stuffed with well seasoned combinations of meats, vegetables, spices, fruits, and sweets.
On this night, We will have a special performance of Tango, by Emmanuel Trifilio a Bandonean musician from Buenos Aires who has charmed audiences across the world with his soulful music and recorded the score for the film Le Petit Nuage. He currently performs with Pan American Symphony Orchestra.
We may also have a few Tango dancers from DC, joining our group for a fun social gathering on this special evening.
There is no additional fee for this event, However due to the size of the restaurant, we have to limit it to a smaller group, so Please manage your RSVP's responsibly as any last week/day cancellations will only deny a spot for other members to attend.
The restaurant is a few blocks from the Bethesda Metro which is around a 12 minute ride, if boarding the metro from Dupont Circle.
