This will be the second stop on the Neo4j 2013 World Wide Tour with Pernilla Lindh, our World Wide Community Manager, being on site! She loves spreading graph love, knowledge of NoSQL, Graphs and Neo4j. Swag love is guaranteed. :)
Peter Neubauer, VP of Community [and hardcore Neo4j coder with over 400k lines committed], will give an introductory talk about Neo4j: What is it? How can I use it? What are others doing with it?
For advanced users, if there is sufficient interest, we'll hold an ad-hoc discussion in a smaller meeting room about whatever people want to talk about, hosted by Wes Freeman, Cypher contributor and primary author of the Scala library AnormCypher.
Come and have a beer - listen about the coolest new tech on the block right now!
Thanks to Gray and Near Infinity for helping us out with the space.
This is also posted at the JUG meetup: http://www.meetup.com/dc-jug/events/97482782/
The material was presented in a logical fashion, and the explanation of where using a Graph Database versus traditional database really made sense.

It was great to have a well versed speaker as Peter. It was a great introduction. However, the dive into the doc process was a distraction. We could have used that time more wisely to get more familiar with concepts and topics in the technology and concept space.

Please review your RSVP to make sure you're actually coming. There are many people on the waiting list! Thanks.

I'd like to learn more about how scripts are executed/cached by the Gremlin REST plugin. I've been seeing some weird behavior that's caused me to start randomizing variable names before sending them to Neo4j.
And if by then, I haven't figured out my gremlin 1.5 vs 2.2 query from the Neo4j google group (http://bit.ly/11fRzmc
), it would be awesome if I could get a little assistance with that as well. I'm sure someone with more experience with gremlin could knock it right out.

I'd like to learn more about data preparation and automated data analysis/ingestion tools that work well with neo4j. If the data isn't already in a relational db, what's a simple way to get started with a demo project using your company's data?

This will be fun! Anything special you all want to cover? Would love to even get some live hacking in :)
