Hosted Graph Databases in the Cloud

Talk about existing hosted graph databases, what you like about them, what you would want to have.

How to integrate with them, what kind of drivers are there?

What PaaS to use to run your actual apps (AWS, Heroku, OpenShift, Cloudfoundry, EngineYard, ....).

We would also love to talk about the Neo4j Heroku Add-On challenge. http://neo4j-challenge.heroku.com

We have two special guests tonight, Andreas Kollegger flies in from the US and Peter Neubauer comes from Sweden. So the complete Neo4j Community team is available for your questions and ideas.

My Interest was to meet the humans behind the neo4j community and to learn more about neo4j evolution in cloud computing. What I've heard and seen from the Speaker and in Discussion with Graph-DB Users was really good und useful information. A little bit annoying for myself were epic and philosophic discussions comparing RDBMS with graph Databases. I know there are some informations and slides from keynotes about object databases and maybe is a good idea to show 1 or 2 slides and talk about short about things like "in rdbms every join is painful" and "what is the difference between rdbms and grapdb in the internal architecture of data processing" Should help to avoid too much architecture philosphy and so saves time for more concrete examples etc.

I presented, but could have been better prepared, not so much experience with actual graph-databases in the audience but great discussions during and after the meetup.

Everyone, it was great to meet you all yesterday. C-Base is dead-cool, and the Kosch and the guys staying to sell beer despite the meetup not being in the books was grand.

Next time, it would be great if we all could sign up so we know how many are coming. It was close to 30 people when 15 signed up :)
