Intro to Neo4j - Graphs are Everywhere

Let's get the group started with a nice introductory discussion about Neo4j and graph databases. We'll start from the beginning: what is a graph database, what does the data model look like, and how do you query with Cypher?

Of course, Neo Technology has offered to pay for pizza and beer. Join us to learn a little about Neo4j and meet other graphistas.

Did you know that manning is currently preparing a book about neo4j? (http://www.manning.com/partner/) I already asked if it would be possible for a user group to participate in their MEAP program which allows for collaborative proofreading and debate. Would be great if they would grant it to this new group!

So excited to host the first Frankfurt graphdb meetup! Glad to have Michael here to share his deep knowledge with us!
For everyone who cannot attend this time: We plan to organize meetings periodically. Frankfurt is very central in europe, easy to reach by train, plane, and even car, so looking forward to see everyone!

Yes, I plan to create a little site with structr during a hands-on session. Maybe we get the Cypher remote connect stable until then, so we can just fetch graph objects from a remote cypher endpoint and integrate them into a structr page.

Sounds like a great first meetup, and maybe you can get some hacking in too, Structr or console.neo4j.org/r/GoT anyone?
