Intro to Neo4j

This is an introductory session on what graph databases are, how they can be used, and what purposes that they serve. The session will run for ~1.5 hours.

Participation is free but seats are limited.

During this session, Nicole will present, explain and discuss introductory topics that require no prior knowledge on graph databases at all.

6.00 - 6.30: Refreshments and networking
6.30 - 7.15: Intro to Neo4j with Nicole White, Data Scientist at Neo Technology
7.15 - 7.45: Q&A ABSTRACT: Intro to Neo4j

This is a high level introduction to graph databases that starts with an overview of Neo4j including why graphs matter, and then reviews the difference between relational and graph models. Nicole will also demonstrate the power of graph databases like Neo4j to query connected data using the Cypher Query Language.

Speaker: Nicole White, Data Scientist at Neo Technology

Hi all, thanks for coming the other night and for the fun discussions afterward. I know I told a few people that I would post links related to our discussions. I remember someone wanted to see this Python script: and I remember there was another request, but it has slipped my mind. If you have any requests for specific content, let me know here.

Can we have a live link to attend the session online/virtually or can we please have the recording of the session after it?

Hi Avina, we won't be recording the meetup tonight, however we have previously recorded an Intro to Neo4j webinars that covers similar material. You can watch that here: http://watch.neo4j.or...
