Based on the great meetup we had at Mozilla, we wanted to throw another one in July. We also wanted to see if there is anyone who would like to showcase their project that is based on a graph database.
GraphConnect and QCon SF are sponsoring this event, so look out for some free t-shirts and stickers
We have a couple great people lined up for this meetup:
Mathieu Bastian, Co-founder of Gephi, Data Scientist at LinkedIN Mathieu is the co-founder and software architect of the Gephi open-source project - "The Photoshop for Graphs". Since 2007, Mathieu is developing the software and animates this vibrant community. He is currently a Data Scientist at LinkedIn where he focuses on building data-driven products like LinkedIn InMaps or LinkedIn Skills. He is interested in network analysis and visualization, distributed systems and more generally how to solve problems with data. Corey Farwell, RIAARadar Corey is an undergraduate student who is living in the Bay Area over the summer, and has a personal project (RIAARadar) that is based on the graph database Neo4j. The app is used to determine whether an album was released by an RIAA affiliated label or not. Look forward to seeing all of you this week.
