I'm interested in discovery of social graphs which are independent of walled gardens and analytics which are independent of particular storage systems. Graph processing and interrogation using functional languages is also interesting to me.
Redis, but I don't feel I have a handle on storage & query services today. I don't expect a single solution. Both Datomic and Neo4j are interesting.
I've been working in the field of Architecture, Engineering and Construction for several years. The intersection between social graphs and QS [http://quantified...] has great possibility; I'm doing some consulting in an associated area now.
