Web Design Advertising Cooperative

Question - how many people here are either independent web designers or have a small web design company? I personally own a small company with 5 people - the big guys are always doing stuff like radio or billboard advertisements, but I don't have a big enough marketing budget to spend thousands of dollars a month on that stuff. I'm also personally frustrated with lead companies because frankly in my experience most of the leads I've gotten from lead companies are junk.

What do you think about a number of us pooling our resources to get some radio and billboard advertising (I'm open to other big ideas as well). My thought is that the leads that come from the ad source would be split percentage wise to how much money you contribute to the ad source, the leads would just be split as they come in, so each lead would be exclusive. This would allow smaller guys to reap the benefits of big ad campaigns, and would also limit every person's individual risk in case it doesn't work out.

Let me know your thoughts and if you're interested - if there is enough interest in this I can set up a meetup to get together on this and start planning to make it a reality.
