Join Some Fantastic Creatives as They Present & Pitch Their Passion Projects:

New York is a city were it pays to know people. So Graphic Design NYC and Creative Village have teamed up to make that happen! Wednesday July 25th we are going to pull together a group of doers looking to turn ideas into realities. We invite you to take this opportunity to meet new people with interesting projects that might be the right fit for you!

Bring Your Own Project or Help Someone with Theirs:

It's always great to have a Rolodex (oops! I mean Contact List) full of talented people that you can ask to help you with bringing your project to life. Our event is simple in detail but rich in activity! All that's expected of you is to have a short pitch or presentation ready to share or be willing to offer professional assistance or constructive criticism to someone in need! The creative community is just like the social media community, it thrives off of interaction and engagement!

Build New Partnerships – Pitch and Networking Event:
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to pitch your skills, services or resources to numerous Meetup Group Members and develop partnerships with professionals in the art & design industries.

This unique pitch event is outlined below...
One at a time, each member is given 30 seconds to introduce themselves in front of the entire group. Member introductions will include a brief pitch known as the “Ask For It and Offer It” portion of the meeting.

The pitch simply answers two questions:
1) What do you hope to obtain from the group? (Ask For It...)
2) What do you have to offer the group? (Offer It...)

After the introductions and pitches we will break off into smaller groups and discuss ways we can build partnerships amongst the group members. Be empowered by other member’s creativity, experiences, presentations and connections.

To conclude the event we will have a few members discuss partnership connections they made during the event. It is not uncommon for members to find new clients, partners for collaboration on projects or future co-founders for startup opportunities.

I'm in the late stages of developing a theater design magazine. We've completed 14 photo shoots and are ready to go into layout design, to design the physical magazine. Our first run will be 10,000 copies and be distributed to theater, fashion, and film designers. We are seeking a graphic designer who aspires to create an entire magazine, and to innovate the form. I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
