GHAC Presents Hyderabad Triathlon: Half Iron Format Triathlon - Sun 20 Oct 2013
A triathlon is a multi-sport event involving the completion of three continuous and sequential endurance events. While many variations of the sport exist, triathlon, in its most popular form, involves swimming, cycling, and running in immediate succession over various distances. Welcome to the Hyderabad Trialthlon Half Iron version. This triathlon will be conducted on the International format.
Swimming (1.9 kms)---->Cycling (90 kms)------>Running (21 kms)

Half iron Triathlon - 1.9 Kms Swim, 90 Cycle, 21 Run
Olympic Triathlon - 1.5 Kms Swim, 40 Kms Cycle, 10 Km Run
Sprint Triathlon - 20 Cycle - 5 Kms Run, 750 Mtrs Swim.
Novice Triathlon - 8 Cycle - 2 Kms Run, 300 Mtrs Swim
Sprint Team Relay - 750 Mtrs Swim, 20 Kms Cycle, 5 kms Run
Novice Team Relay - 300 Mtrs Swim, 8 Kms Cycle, 2 Kms Run

Olympic Duathlon - 10 Kms Run, 40 kms Bike, 5 Kms Run
Sprint Duathlon - 5 Kms Run, 20 Kms Cycle, 3 Kms Run

Our objective in conducting the Triathlons is not winning, it is completing the triathlon. It is about stamina @ endurance , about pulling ourselves to the limit and about reveling in the satisfaction of doing it. Let's explore this adventure too.
So all you stamina freaks & health freaks - fasten your seat belts & prepare.
For the ease of tracking we request you to RSVP into waiting list and post payment, we'll move you into "Yes" list. Also as of now the cap on the number of participants is 18( + 3 organiser). But depending on response we will definitely try to increase the slots.
5:15 AM - Registration, Collection of Bibs.
5.45 AM - Flag Off
Swimming , Cycling & Running.
Each participant will do all his events in the given order. He/She need not wait for other participants to complete before starting his/her next event.
Please note - There may be some changes to the program. Be ready to accept them. The Organizer's word will be final. Extreme care has been taken to plan out the program, but surprises do happen!
Things to get -
1. Cycle in Good working condition.
2. Good Running shoes.
3.Swimming gear (Trunks/Costume, Cap, Goggles, etc).Ladies/Girls will need to get Swimming Caps without fail.
5.Sports Drinks/Electral, fruits, energy bars, etc to have between/during the events. It is essential to keep yourself well-hydrated.
6. A good mood and an energetic spirit.
For all those who do not have a Cycle and want GHAC to provide Cycles on Rent - Please inform the same in form of comment when you RSVP. The cost is Rs150 per cycle. For all those who require GHAC to provide cycles, the Meet-up time will be 5.15 AM at starting point.
People suffering from any kind of medical condition / ailments or Cardiac problems are advised against participating unless specifically permitted by their Doctor.
All participants completing the Triathlon successfully will be awarded a Medal & a Certificate.
