Experience it all with GHAC by performing rappelling on a 120 feet down / 80 degrees vertical angle at Moula Ali hill.
Rappelling, abseiling, canyoning – whatever you call it, is a technique of descent from vertical faces with the aid of ropes and specialized rappelling equipment. Perfect as an introductory adventure, Rappelling also has a psychological application in boosting confidence and courage as Rappelling facilitates an attitude of overcoming challenges
The session begins with an introduction of the activity with information about climbing and rappelling equipment like Carabiners, descenders, harnesses and rappelling ropes. There is a demonstration of rappelling techniques and anchoring and safety system followed by guided attempts by participants.
Rappelling is one of the most dangerous aspects of climbing. More accidents occur with rappelling than any other climbing activity - You could get injured or killed, even if you do everything exactly right. always let some other experienced climber cross check your setup before you rappel. Please do not try this yourself without a safety belay in place and without direct supervision of a skilled and experienced climber. Too many people have lost their lives or have become seriously injured trying rappelling without supervision and safety in place.
