This Fitness event is designed to get members started off on training for Triathlon.It is open for all members to join. The event will be a combination of Exercises, Running, Cycling & Swimming. The primary objective is to train together and share tips and strategies for endurance events like the Triathlon. The event aims to do the following-
# Be a common platform for those wanting to train.
# Share tips on the right exercises needed to train for endurance events and information on how to avoid injuries.
# Importance of Warming-up and Cooling-down before and after the event resp.
# Share info on the right equipment to be used for these activities.
# There is no ground support , we will carry our own water , snack etc & will count our own laps in swimming pool.
Agenda - Practice our GHAC Regular Triathlon.
Meet at Bike station and start off with Warm Up and stretching .
Running - 5 km and 10 km
Cycling - 20 km and 40 km
Swimming - 500 mts.
The next sessions will see longer distances of cycling , running & Swimming.
We will have these training events at least once a week upto October Triathlon event.
This event is for our own self improvement - No certificates / No Tokens etc. & NO GROUND SUPPORT. So please get your own requirement of water , energy drink etc.
Running and Cycling on Necklace Road or nearby area. Swimming at Pool Opp. Vaartha office on Lower Tank bund.
1. Wear Sport Shorts / Cycling shorts / Full track pants and T-shirts (half sleeve or full sleeve)
2. Wear Sport Shoes only.
3. Carry a Water bottle and energy bars.
4. Get your own swimming gear - Costume , swimming trunk , Goggles , Swimming cap.
5. Please get your own cycles. GHAC is not providing cycles for this meet-up. Alternatively you could rent out the bicycle from HBC Bike station.
In case there is heavy rain on the event day, please call and check with us regarding the happening of the event. A light rain will not deter the event.
Charges - Rs 70 for swimming + Rs 10 for GHAC Contribution (Please Carry Change).
Additional Charges if any will be at actuals.
