This Fitness event is designed for people who have prior experience of endurance sports.The primary objective is to train together and share tips and strategies for endurance events like the Triathlon. The event aims to do the following-
# Be a common platform for those wanting to train.
# Share tips on the right exercises needed to train for endurance events and information on how to avoid injuries.
# Importance of Warming-up and Cooling-down before and after the event resp.
# Share info on the right equipment to be used for these activities.
# There is no ground support , we will carry our own water , snack etc & will count our own laps in swimming pool.
Agenda - Practice for Triathlon.
Meet at the Swimming Pool Opp Vaartha Ofice
Swimming - 1 .2 K
Cycling - 70 K (from Vaartha office to Gachibowli and thereabouts)
Running - 15 km (around gachibowli)
This event is for people who have experience in endurance sports OR who have registered for the Olympic/Half-Iron distance Triathlon. Please note, we shall be Running at around 10 - 11AM, to simulate the running conditions during the main Triathlon events. So please come prepared for the hard practice. Do get enough Fluids/energy drinks/ energy bars etc to avoid the risk of dehydration and cramps.
This event is for our own self improvement - No certificates / No Tokens etc. &
NO GROUND SUPPORT
. So please get your own requirement of water , energy drink etc.
1. Wear Sport Shorts / Cycling shorts / Full track pants and T-shirts (half sleeve or full sleeve)
2. Wear Sport Shoes only.
3. Carry a Water bottle and energy bars.
4. Get your own swimming gear - Costume , swimming trunk , Goggles , Swimming cap.
5. Please get your own cycles. GHAC is not providing cycles for this meet-up.
In case there is heavy rain on the event day, please call and check with us regarding the happening of the event. A light rain will not deter the event.
Charges - Rs 80 for swimming + Rs 10 for GHAC Contribution (Please Carry Change).
Additional Charges if any will be at actuals.
