Wish we'd got a bit more notice about the change of dates given how hard it is to get such long leaves at work and making alternative arrangements.

Regardless, changed my RSVP and sent the email to maneeshkp and accounts. Appreciate prompt response.

I have a few questions and I am pretty sure these reflect the questions of many who have already made partial payments and booked tickets to Nepal.

    1. When do we transfer remaining payment?
    2. It is less than 2 weeks to go. When will we get information on where to meet, which hotel is booked and overall logistics information.
    3. When we met during the Pre-Meetup, it sounded as though we will have a Group leader on our way up but not really on our way down. I wanted to make sure that if that is so, who do we contact in case of emergencies/ general problems in logistics since everyone on the trek is a first timer.

Hey guys, I am glad I saw this as I have always wanted to do EBC.
    I have a few questions-

    1. Is the Itinerary fixed or is there scope to change. I see only 1 rest /acclimatization day in Namche. Based on my research it is advisable to take another rest day either in Tughla or in Dingboche as mountain sickness can really play spoil sport. You also don’t need 2 days from Phadking to Namche. All the tour operators and blogs I have read have 1 day for Phadking to Namche. Can something be worked out here?
    2. Will there be sight seeing planned in Kathmandu.
    3. Most tour operators I have been in touch with provide sleeping bags (will be needed even though there are tea house accommodation), down jackets for the trip etc. Let me know if these are included.
    4. What is the markup one would have to pay for single occupancy?
    5. By when can we confirm by paying 50%. Can we confirm by mid/late Feb?

    Thanks
    Prashant

When does the RSVP open. and can we RSVP by March??

    January 13, 2014

    A few quick questions:

    When do the RSVPs open?
Do you have prerequisites from members or can anyone hop in with payment?
What's your preparation like? Any mini hikes planned?
I see only 2 'Yes's so far - what's the minimum number without which this trek won't take place?

    Thanks,
    Chandra

My ultimate goal is this.but I am planning to go slow.I want to do first smaller treks ,like gorepani poon hill trek and then ANNAPURNA circuit etc. Here I am worried about high altitude mountain sickness.I want some insurance to cover that.but in India it seems no insurance company is offering that kind of insurance.I am planning to go to Nepal in the month of February to do this trek I mean gorepani poon hill trek.
I want to hear your experiences
    Thanking you
