Aim : Maneybhanjang - Sandhakphu - Phalut - Rimbik trek

Duration: Total 10 days 13 May to 25th may (6 trekking and 4 Traveling by Train. Participants who want to save 4 days can take a flight to Bagdogra)
Charges : Estimated at Rs 10000 [Hyderabad - Sandakphu - Hyderabad].
Any excess money will be shared and remaining money will be refunded before the trek ends.
Sandakphu is the highest peak (3600m+) of the Singalila Ridge and the entire state of West Bengal; no doubt you shall witness the most visually stimulating views from here. This is the only trekkable place in India from where you can see four of the give highest mountains in the world (Everest, Kanchenajunga, Makalu, and Lhotse). This majestic Himalayan range is filled with rhododendrons and other sub-alpine flowering plants through the spring and the fresh scent of budding grass.
The Sleeping Buddha
Day 1 - 15th May, thursday - 4:00PM- hyd to Kolkata via falaknuma exp
Day 2 - 16th May, Friday - Reach kolkata at around 6:00PM and take a night train to New Jalpaigudi (NJP) Darjeeling mail.
Day 3- 17th May,Saturday - NJP- Darjeeling -Sukhai Pokhari - Maneybhanjang. night stay at Maneybhanjang.
(Those coming by flight can join us at any of the above places)
Day4 - 18th May,sunday - Maneybhanjang (1828m) to Tonglu (3087 m)- 11 km trek/ 7- 8 hours
Day5 -19th May,monday - Tonglu (3087m)- Gairibas (3110m)- 10 km/ 3-4 hours.
Day6 - 20th May,tuesday - Gairibas(3110m)-Sandhakphu (3657m).- 10km/ 5-6 hours.
Day7-21st May,wednesday - Sandhakphu (3657m)- Phalut(3000m)- 21 km /6-7 hours
Day 8-22th May,thursday - Phalut (3000m) - Rammam - 13km /5hrs
Day 9 -23th May,Friday - Rammam - Rimbik - 19kms / 5-6hrs
Day 10 -24th May,saturday - Reserve day/Darjeeling Visit and start to kolkatta(saraighat express)
Day 11 -25th May,sunday- Train from kolkata to hyderabad(falaknuma)
Day 12 - 26th May,Monday - Reach Hyderabad.

Note: The trek will be a group effort that also demands sharing, endurance, adjustment and discipline. Please be prepared.
This trek is a bit challenging and requires experience due to climatic conditions also. Be prepared for anything and DO NOT GRUMBLE
No guests allowed. Please ask them to create an account, which is very simple, and RSVP for themselves.
Cell phone connectivity has improved , you will find it at certain hotspots (so you can click and upload pics on the go :) )
No porters, so interested candidates should work on their fitness level by running 5kms per day .

Things to bring:

Torch, whistle & Sleeping Bag (Must)
1) no smoking and no alcohol
2) No littering, no pollution of water
3) We would carry Basic First Aid and if you need anything you can ask the organizers
4) if you feel unwell bring to the notice of the organizers immediately.
5) Do not shout unnecessarily and become a nuisance to the others.
Most of us may not be serious trekkers but all of us have equal responsibility in protecting our beloved earth. GHAC earnestly requests all its members to be socially responsible whilst the treks and avoid any littering, shouting when in wild or causing anything that would disturb the normal ecology. Try to avoid plastics as much as possible, especially plastic smiles
