6th Anniversary special

Dear Friends

As our ongoing campaign towards anti-littering, GHAC has taken up Necklace road to create awareness amongst public during the occasion of 6th Anniversary.

Make a difference by your invaluable participation

Be the Change!

About Place:

Necklace road is the Pride of Hyderabad enjoyed by thousands of residents and attracting tourists from all over the country. Sadly it is one of the most littered public areas in the city. Despite the efforts by the authorities to place rubbish bins every few meters, one can see the litter lying everywhere except the empty bins.

We plan to clean up the area simultaneously creating awareness about health hazards of littering.

Make May 18th A Special Day in Your Life by joining hands with GHAC towards litter free Hyderabad

the entire Indian population has greater access to mobile phones than toilets” as reported UN ..!!hoping this awareness drive can bring a lil difference in society and peoples attitude towards cleanness..!!!it feels great to be a part of this drive ..!thanks geethanjali, manideep and other organizers for leading this drive ..!!

    4 · May 19, 2014

  • Dr.sravanthi s.

great initiative taken by GHAC ..“No body in our society thinks that litter is a problem at all. Majority of Indians are used to throwing trash on the road. In fact, Indian roads double up as parking spaces, trash cans, temporary storage for construction materials, and free loading docks for enterprises.”There are a number of other sanitation problems which dirty the streetscapes of India apart from littering. This includes spitting, using public spaces for toiletry needs as a result of the lack of good public toilets. It is therefore important to educate the Indian population about the harmful effects of spitting, and take relevant action against it.It is essential to provide civic education in order to train the younger generations of a society. .

Thank you for coming forward to donate. we would prefer you to donate cash on the day of the event than bringing things as we have already purchased some of the items. We are trying to procure biodegradable bags to protect the environment although they are little expensive.

  • Bhagavath Sharan V.

Lets also try to lunch some clean up awareness campaigns all over the city when ever it is possible and by going to colleges, schools etc., . Mainly in the railway stations there the worst littering will take place so a small team when ever it is possible lets try to do something about it also if possible.. I am just suggesting lets see the possibilities and act accordingly.
    Thank you.

    Dear all

Just a reminder to all of us that May 18th is not going be just one off awareness drive towards anti-littering; we want each one of you to be the ambassador towards this campaign for years to come.

If we plan for a huge impact on society, then it must start from our backyard. So please keep your suggestions going on this page towards how you can make a difference by making the area you live in litter free

If any of you need help recycling or composting in your locality please let us know

Some of you have already seen this video. Let's brainstorm again how to undo the damage caused by new generation!
