16 WEEK KICK OFF DATE for SHAMROCK SPORTFEST HALF IS: November 30th, 2010!
This is the date we will officially start training for the Shamrock Sportsfest Half Marathon! So for everyone who "fell off the wheel" and have been sitting on their butts a little too much (like me) Lets get psyched to startup the running again!
Also, for those of you who are interested in cross training. We will be sponsoring more biking and swimming events. I personally will be training for the Smithfield Sprint triathlon in April.
Our group quote: "We are at a crossroad in life...either we will slow down today or get stronger."
My personal goal is 3 halves a year but, if you would like to do more feel free to consult with me on becoming an assistant organizer so you can plan runs. Lets build this club in Chesapeake together!
KEEP UP WITH THE TRAINING as best as possible (everyone has down days but try to stay consistent)
Whether you are a new runner or experienced runner trying to improve your time; come out and join us! You can run with us (9-12 min. miles) or at your own pace.
Please keep up with the message board discussions. I take alot of time out to keep it up and it has alot of useful information to keep you on track and motivated!
