Another October event and November events

New events and meetups are on the calendar.  There's another dog walk for charity on October 29th in Lakeway.  It's the Lake Travis Lion's Club Halloween Dog Walk beginning at Lakeway City Park which benefits Leader Dogs for the Blind and the Free Eyeglass Program for needy children.  Early registration is $15.00 and same-day registration is $18.00.  Registration starts at 8:30 with the walk to to begin at 9:00.  Feel free to dress up the pups!

There's another event happening in San Antonio on November 6th that I thought was well worth putting on the calendar. The 2 Millions Dogs organization is having a Puppy Up Walk and Festival at McAllister Park in San Antonio.  The mission of 2 Million Dogs is to benefit the study of canine cancer and comparative oncology. I know there are many of us who have lost a beloved pet to cancer or know someone who has.  It's a 2 mile walk that begins at 1:00 pm and a festival with vendors, music, food, raffles and more going on till 5:00.   Online registration by November 4th is $20.00 and same day registration is $25.00.  Registration starts at 11:00.  Kids under 14 are free. Why not take the short drive down to San Antonio that Sunday and enjoy an afternoon of doggie and family fun.

We've got a November 5th meetup at Auditorium Shores and one on the 20th at the Georgetown Bark Park. We're back to our regular meetup start times now that the weather is cooling off.

Information and registration links for both charity dog walks can be found on our Home Page under each event.

Don't forget this weekend - Dogtoberfest at the Domain on Saturday and Howl'oween at the Hill Country Galleria on Sunday!
