LPMeck Executive Committee Elections

Mark your calendars for our May 2014 meeting, we will be holding elections for LPMeck’s Executive Committee. This includes Chair, Treasurer and 3 At-Large positions. This is your chance to get off the sidelines and get into the game! It is your chance to make your mark and really start to exert some influence on the liberty movement in North Carolina’s largest County.

LPMeck, has grown by leaps and bounds over the past few years, but a fresh new infusion of energy and ideas is needed. The current EC members have made sure you won’t be starting from scratch with contact and donor lists, mass email account (mailchimp), materials and a working website (and meetup.com site). Most importantly, LPMeck has funds to get you started and cover essential operating costs (room charges, table fees, website fees etc).

If you have any questions or just wish to announce your intention to run, please email [masked].

Another productive effort lead by outgoing chairman Tim Doran who deserves our thanks for his many hours of volunteer work

Nobody has emailed me stating their intention to run for chair. If nobody runs, LP Meck will become an inactive county party and will be barred from raising and disbursing funds, endorsing candidates, and all other formal political activity. Please consider running to save the Libertarian Party of Mecklenburg County!

UNA is fine. Just cannot be registered with any other party. Many LP volunteers and even some officers at state and local level are UNA . Bylaws only state cannot be registered as a member if any other recognized party (R,D,Green etc)

I'd like to be more involved in this group. Unfortunately, I travel most weekdays. Is anyone interested in (formally or informally) gathering on the weekends?

Really excited to have a meeting again. I feel like we have lost a lot of momentum with the gap causes by Fox and Hound closing in our fight to spread freedom.

Jordan, glad you'll make it and hope you consider one of the EC positions. It can be as much or little as you want to make it.
