I have missed the groups because I am a slow reader, but ended up reading all the assigned books on my own since May 2012. I am currently reading David Copperfield, and have Les Miserables as my next book. I wonder if the books can be broken down into sections; taking into account length and difficulty of reading.

I wouldn't be able to attend during the third or fourth week of November. Anyway the group has become dormant without explanation. I think that it would be difficult to organize a group for a novel as lengthy as "Oliver Twist". Novels with a cult following draw a large group. Possibilities could be "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest", "Catch 22", "The Electric Kool-aid Acid Test".

This group met in two locations while I've been attending. I liked the Sony atrium at Madison and 54th. It is public and big, but a bit cold literally and figuratively. We weren't the only riff raff it attracted, which put off some people also. However, Papillon was a good place for post discussion. Marriott has been tolerating us on the third floor of the Residence Inn on 6 ave and 39 St, which is very warm and comfortable. A few us by a drink at the bar. Alas the neighborhood closes early and post discussion wasn't as good as at Papillon.
Oliver Twist would be OK with me. I have been pushing for a few Indian novels on my bookshelf: The Home and the World, Sea of Poppies and A Fine Balance.
