learn the basics of map and compass reading

Saturday April 6 10:00am Map-tacular!  Maps reveal amazing details about the past and present.  First, we will learn the basics of how to read the Greenbelt trail map.  Then we will work as a team to assemble a giant floor puzzle map of the Greenbelt and we will place land use features on the map to see how the Greenbelt and surrounding land has changed over time.  Afterwards, feel free to put your map-reading skills to use with a hike along the trails and/or borrow a listening wand for a brief audio tour of Greenbelt natural history.  Program is suitable for ages 6 and up and takes place at the Greenbelt Nature Center.    Free program.  Registration required.  Call [masked] or email [masked]
