I started this with a few other Co-Founders. I became involved with this group when I had inquired about some similar events in Calgary becoming a possible Green Drinks event in Calgary. None of them did meet the requirements & so we started this.
Yes, and I have encouraged others to do so as well. I even encourage anyone who has yet to do so to link in the web site associated with their cause or business and to provide me with a title to help people identify them.
I am a volunteer of REAP Business Association, Sierra Club Chinook Group, carpool.ca, & ethicaldeal.com (but never all at the same time).
I will do.
Yes. In fact, I will likely be the one producing most of this and so will be encouraging others to help.

The strength of Green Drinks is that you can find out more about environmental concerns in Calgary and elsewhere in an informal setting. I have heard from some that going to a monthly meeting of an environmental group can be intimidating or is just not seen as a fun thing to do after a long day at work. People do not want to be talked to, they want to talk with others and learn from others. With Green Drinks, we remove those barriers by providing an informal atmosphere where you can talk with others regarding environmental concerns and have the ability to have fun. We even provide incentives for people to attend through door prizes and the occasional sponsored appetizers.
