The TN Climate Action Campaign is a collaborative network of organizations and individuals building a climate protection network statewide. By facilitating energy-efficiency (EE), our ultimate goal is to encourage the TVA to ramp up its Energy-Efficiency and Direct Response programs to a compounded 1% energy savings target per year by 2016, and to leverage the retirement of carbon-emitting TVA coal plants. Chattanooga’s Local Climate Action Team (LCAT) meets together regularly, assists homeowners or property owners in making their homes or buildings more energy-efficient, focuses on residential upgrades and recouping costs for weatherization, while framing this conversation with the necessity for climate protection policies. This is a statewide energy-efficiency campaign, mobilizing local residents who’ve already had their In-Home Energy Audit or would like to do so, and a GREAT opportunity for becoming a climate protection advocate: www.tnclimateaction.net
