Kivy with Ben DeMott

With Kivy you build your user interface for IOS and Android devices in Python using a cross-platform widget library. Using Python you can then interact with device-specific API's offered by different sub-projects of the Kivy project. Ben DeMott's talk will focus on Android integration with Kivy, and the Kivy sub-projects that allow you to interact with the Android Java API from Python with relative ease.

Good overview of Kivy and it's widgets and Android APK making. I'd like a followup meetup looking at the work-in-progress android app you mentioned.

I hope everyone took good notes. I had something come up, so I couldn't attend. :-(

I will have a Vagrant box with Kivy installed for anyone who wants to play with it tonight. You just need to have VirtualBox and Vagrant installed, 4GB of free space, and 2GB of RAM free.
