Inspiration & Contemplation: Facing Fear

From: William D. Clark, P.

As we move forward on this journey called life, we will always be faced with new experiences and challenges. It’s the deep and meaningful ones that will quite often hit the wall of fear. Fear of the unknown. Fear of change.

These are also the same experiences that bring the greatest joy if we have the courage to move through them; to dare greatly. There is only one constant in the Universe…things change. It is the nature of the Tao; the way. This is how we grow and evolve. This is how we wake up to the truth of who we are.

When we reach this point, this wall of fear, this seemingly insurmountable impasse, we have but two choices. One, we can play it safe and stay small trying to control every aspect of our life, which takes a tremendous amount of energy. Or two; we can simply let go of fear, step into this greater experience and embrace the journey with all our heart or as we say in cycling class when we are sprinting all out; “RIDE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT!” I choose riding!
