Introduction to Meditation: What is Happiness?

Lama Yeshe once said "to liberate yourself, you must know yourself". We discuss the purpose and benefits of meditation, investigate the nature of the mind, and practice a variety of different meditation techniques. Using readings from His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Lama Zopa Rinpoche, we learn how Buddha helps us re-define happiness in ways that lead to a healthier sense of self and better relationships with others.

Each session consists of guided and silent meditations, and a facilitated discussion.

All are welcome to attend, no previous experience is required. This is a small, relaxed class suitable for beginners. Wear comfortable clothes.
