Great, very moderately paced hike, nice and hilly. Friendly and fun group of people. Good, leisurely workout.

Walk was great! Met some nice people. Too bad I lost my car key somewhere along the 2 3/4 hour walk. HUGE thanks to Laurie for driving me and my sister back to my house to get the spare!!!! If anyone happens to be walking and find a Mazda key pod...its probably mine.

Sorry to hear about your lost key. It might have happened next to the marble bench... but I have no idea how to get back to that place.

Debbie, To get to the park you should be traveling south on Clover Street (Route 65). You will cross over the NYS Thruway. Then look for Canfield Rd. Turn left onto Canfield Road. At the next intersection, take a right turn onto Douglas Rd. You will pass a cobblestone house on the right and then an exit to a parking lot. Go a little further and you will turn right onto the parking lot entrance. That will get you to the beach area parking lot

Can anyone give me more specifics on location to meet (I am unfamiliar with this park), I looked at map but I don't see any "beach". Is there a lodge that I can refer to on this map?

Debbie, Under the hike leader info is a link to a park map which you can zoom in on and it will show you Douglas Rd. and the beach area.

Jeanette, the hike leader Jon Kreckman is not able to check on-line comments, so please contact him at the phone number listed above. (I would expect this to be a long but otherwise regular hike).
