Vinny you must be kidding about hiking even faster!!! The heat and humidity will be much worse in August so going faster is not a healthy decision

There have been alot of comments / opinions going on around this hike between this website and meet-up. In my opinion, the hike was very good. Vinny listened to us when it did get hot and we were tired, i.e. he slowed the pace - that's what a hike leader needs to do and he did. As for the bikes, I have never had to share a trail with bikes and did find it interesting. The bikers did not seem to mind us and appeared to appreciate us cheering them on. There's give and take for both sides.

    So that's my 2-cents.

I don't understand Jeff......Are you saying there is a bomb threat at my hike?

I thought the mt bikers were polite as well:) ... we encountered very few bikers. It's all about sharing the outdoors with other people:) the next hike I lead is abe Lincoln on aug 11 and the pace will be even faster than dryer rd. see u there!

The only time I ever tried to hike at DRP we had to get off trail at least 3 times in the first 10 minutes!! Such conditions are ABNORMAL, to understate. You can have that place>>>why not select from the many places that don't allow bikes on trails??? Enjoy blur trooping>>I'll pass on that too!!

Well... I got lost a bit on the way to the park (don't know how it happened), so I didn't make it to the meetup, sorry :). I missed the good company, but otherwise the hike was great! Thanks, Vinny, for introducing me to this park! Never walked so many winding trails on one hike. Very well marked. Map helped, since there was no guide :). Thought the Owl's maze will never end. Had some fights with mosquitoes. Bones a-part didn't tear my bones apart, hehe. A good workout. I am sure it would be WAY better at Vinny's pace. If I would even make it :). Maybe next time. I will definitely return to hit ALL the black trails.

I hiked chutes and ladders and really liked it. Yes, about owls maze - that is the right word :). It would be a fantastic park to hike in the cooler weather, when the leaves are turning.

Thanks again, Vinny, for an interesting choice. I had no idea such park existed.

I biked the hike two days ago. Low spots are wet, not too bad, but still muddy. I plan to travel at an average of 3mph. We will be starting at 8:05. The hike will take 2 hours. If you feel as if you are slow going up long hills and need to break for minutes afterward then this hike is not for you. There are a couple long hills that we will move up fast and breaks are short as well. 5.7 miles on gps.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
