Just to let the organizers know, my friend and I will meet you all at the hike start place (mentioned below by Mark). Thanks! My first hike with this group. Looking forward to it!

I'm only 27! There seems to be very few people my age who hike in groups! But this is a trail I've never heard of so I plan on attending! Can i come to park and ride and follow someone there?

I hope you like it as much as we do. Plan to come back and Kayak on Canadice. Especially if you like solitude!

Katie, I only know the Springwater Trails group - most of us are 50+ but very young at heart!

Hikers generally donate $5 when they don't want or don't have time to make a dish. We do hope you will stay and relax after, but likely some cars will head home immediately after the hike.

I will lead the Climbers from the north end along the west side of Canadice, and then up the trail to Rob's Trail. This is a fairly steep climb but since I am leading we will stop often to catch our breath. At the top, we will loop around Rob's Trail and then back down to the Canadice Trail and back to the north end.

Read about Rob's trail at http://www.nature.org/ourinitiatives/regions/northamerica/unitedstates/newyork/placesweprotect/centralwesternnewyork/wherewework/central-robs-trail-preserve.xml.

After the hike,we will grill sausage and hamburgers at the north end of Canadice. Please bring a dish to pass or make a small donation to the Springwater Trails social fund. Most important, come and relax with us.

Please meet at the I-390 exit 11 Park & Ride at 1:00 to car pool to Canadice Lake. If you drive directly, plan to arrive by 1:45 for a 2:00 hike start. Directions to Canadice are available at http://springwatertrails.org/2013/08/northwest-parking-canadice-lake-directions/
