Joe, Great hike this morning. I esp liked the end trail as a final challenge instead of going up the road. Well done! Larry

Thanks Joe, you kept us booking! Ryan thanks for sweeping, did nary a drop of your coffee spill while navigating those hills? Nice meeting and chatting with some of the new hikers and catching up with the veteran hikers.

Thanks for the positive feedback. It makes me want to sign up to lead more hikes. Ryan, thanks so much for sweeping. You Rock. Thanks to everyone that came out. I have to say that it was a pretty darn friendly group of folks.... sorry I missed the post gathering at Wegmans. I will post the few pics I took at the halfway point.

Jason and I are scouting Hi Tor tomorrow. I hope you all have a wonderful hike!

I again would suggest a lightweight pair of long pants for tomorrow's since a couple of the trails are slightly little overgrown this time of the year (also not a bad idea for avoiding poison ivy and ticks).

Other trail conditions: Hilly, most of the trail is shaded, only a few minor muddy spots, did I mention hilly : - )

I do have another commitment right after the hike so I will not be able to meet for lunch or coffee afterwards. I would encourage folks to talk up some interest during the hike to meet afterward at one of the following establishments:

Coffee - Tim Horton's (across from Delta Sonic)
Lunch or beer - Flaharty's Three Flags Inn (near YMCA)

My apologies Joe, change of plans. Sorry to miss your hike and seeing everyone.

My best guess is that we will be finished between 11:15 and 11:30. I would like to get started very close to 9:00 so I encourage everyone to arrive 15 minutes early to get signed in, hear announcements and count off. Thanks.

Hello all. Please disregard the part of the hike description that that says "minimal breaks". This is August so water breaks will be essential (don't forget to bring some). There are a couple narrow trail portions which are through patches of vegetation. A lightweight pair of long pants will likely be desirable.

I have scouted out a couple of addition trial loops at Abraham Lincoln Park and plan to include them this time around. See you there : - )

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
