    Not the best choice, Shashank. It may give you some traction but probably won't keep your feet warm and dry, and won't provide adequate support. You need some type of hiking boot, something with firm support and a deep lug sole and possibly insulated or large enough to wear with heavy socks.

    I agree with Alan, Hiking shoes, with wool socks, cleats if this is what you use. The snow is ankle deep in some areas, this is a challenging hike on difficult ground, I want you to have a good time.
