Global Women Federation of Commerce of Canada (GWFCC) was born on November 9, 2009. The president, Mrs. Tammy Jue rallied 8 other business professionals and management talents including "Mr.KK" (Keeve, WaiTung, KWOK) to set up the organization, with an aim to gather ambitious entrepreneurs as well as motivated new immigrants.
GWFCC was successfully registered under the band of British Columbia non-profit organizations on December 28, 2009. On January 30, 2010, GWFCC hosted the inauguration ceremony in the Radisson Hotel of Richmond. The occasion was also tailored to raise funds for the UBC/SFU Dong Liang Foundation for the purpose of funding a new elementary school in GuiZhou province in China. In the end, GWFCC managed to raise $10,000 dollars along with over 20 flight tickets for the volunteers. In 2012, we have successfully raised $16,000.00 for the Richmond Hospital Foundation through the 1st Mrs. Global Chinese Pageant. In 2013, we have so far raised $ 10,000.00 for the 2nd Mrs. Global Chinese Pageant. The final contest will be held at RiverRock Theatre (the Rock) at 630pm on June 11th, 2013. Our goal is to raise $ 18,000.00 for the same charity: Richmond Hospital Foundation.
GWFCC continues to unite experience and prowess, to propel cooperation and communication, to share the latest information and business opportunities, and to guard rights, benefits and trust. With every advancing step, we are building a growing platform to house vast information and brilliant business
ideas; we are attracting incredible talents and facilitating connections between female professionals; as well, we are assisting new comers to either set up their own businesses or catch up with the ever-evolving job market.
In order to better serve our members and the community, we have 4 divisions: business development, membership, activities and young entrepreneurs (16 to 35 year-old members). GWFCC hosts monthly luncheon meetings such as successful business how-to; hosts periodic domestic and overseas business
fieldtrips. We hope to bring positive efforts to a multi-lateral relationship between Canada and China on economic, cultural and commercial levels.
Joining hands with GWFCC, let us communicate, create and care for global women. Let us believe that this
is the platform for brighter development; this is the stage for your grand performance. http://www.gwfcc.net/ has more.
