Introduction

I am interested in futurism and cognitive science.

For application into our community, please USE YOUR FULL NAME and include your LinkedIn profile. Fully completed profile questions will get priority. What is the nature of your interest in designing experiences for personal habit development?

I want to build a habit of writing each day.

Can you share a 5-minute personal story about a successful habit practice that's lasted longer than 100 days? If so, please give us just a quick synopsis!

I have not done a good job of consciously developing habits.

Which (if any) relevant guest speaker(s) could you contact to speak at a future meetup with whom you already have a personal relationship?

None.

Which specific host locations (if any) could you contact to host/sponsor a future meetup?

Not sure.

Sign in to post a Greeting.

  • Great intro Scott. I look forward to meeting you face-to-face at a soon to be scheduled Bare Metal Savvy meetup.

  • Did you see the NY Times article "Smart Dust? Not Quite, but We're Getting There"? (http://www.nytimes.com/2010/01/31/bus...) Highlight:

Mr. Smith is doing research that builds on RFID and adds an accelerometer and a programmable chip — measured in millimeters. Its power can come from either a radio-frequency reader, as in RFID, or the ambient radio power from television, FM radio and WiFi networks. (For the latter, Intel is developing "power-harvesting circuits".)
